Peace in Heaven

Andrea peacefully went to live with God and Christ this morning, Monday April 19 a.m., about 7:30 a.m. She did not wake from her sleep.
Tomorrow I will post funeral arrangements, but most likely it will be Saturday.
As a family, we send love to you all for being so diligent in your prayers and reading this blog. We are heartbroken, but know that Andrea is in a better home than we are right now.

you are all in our prayers. We remember Andrea as such a beautiful and sweet young lady. I have a great picture of her going to homecoming (I think)with several of the kids from West Houston. Casey has ALWAYS thought so much of her. Reading all the blogs has shown us what faith she had. Just know we are thinking of you and praying for the peace & comfort that only God can give!

love,
Roxy and Kurt

Although I did not know Andrea that well during my time at TCU, we shared many common friends. She always struck me as such a friendly, outgoing, and beautiful person. It may sound trite, but people really did gravitate towards her. My heart goes out to Andrea's friends and family during this extremely difficult time.

Philippians 3:14
I press toward the goal to "win the prize" for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
2 Timothy 4:7-8
Andrea fought the good fight, She finished the race, Andrea kept the faith. Now there is in store for her the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award her on that day—and not only to Andrea, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

God our most Heavenly Father, we praise you and thank for the gift of eternity and the knowledge that Andrea has "won the prize"! I know that you have taken Andrea into your loving arms and healed her earthly body. I pray for the family that they will heal quickly from this loss. Father, I thank you for giving me Hope and Faith so that I have the Peace of knowing that Andrea is in a much better place.

I pray this to the Creator of the Universe.

Your Brother in Christ!!

I have been praying for Andrea since my daughter first told me of her illness. It comes across clearly in the blog that Andrea was a very strong young woman and the world is a better place for having known her and her wonderful spirit. I continue to pray for Andrea's family and friends and know that she is free now - no longer in pain. God Bless.

Your family is in my prayers. I was a young freshman at TCU when I first met Andrea and she welcomed me with her warm heart and personality. I always admired her beauty both inside and out. I was touched so many times how she took time to reach out to the younger Pi Phi's and am forever grateful to her sincere kindness. I tremendously admire her strength and courage as she demonstrated her faith and beauty daily.

God bless your family in this time.

I cheered with Andrea at TCU. I just learned of this blog from a mutual friend on facebook. I read several of the entries and am amazed at Andrea's spirit throughout her illness. She is an incredible inspiration and witness for Christ for all who read it. I am so sorry for your loss, but am glad to know she is no longer in pain. Your family will be in my prayers! I pray that you experience a peace that surpasses all understanding. God bless.

Andrea,
"God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be.
So he put His arms around you and whispered "come to me".
With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away.
Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best."

This poem I found touched my heart, and I thought it might bring some comfort. Our hearts go out to all of you. Andrea's beauty, courage, and faith was such an inspiration to us. May God comfort you and wrap His arms around you in the days and months to come. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

With our deepest sympathy.

To you all, we love you so much and are keeping you in our prayers. What a shining example your family has always been to ours. I remember how very sweet and patient both Andrea and Kristen were with our boys when we would come to your house for care group. May God wrap his loving arms around you and give you peace.
