Baby steps

Andrea had to receive blood and platelet infusions today since both were very low. Her kidney function level was slightly high, so they would not give her the once a week treatment for the virus. She will receive fluids and meds at home this weekend and they will try to see if her levels improve enough by Monday to get the virus medicine.
On a more positive note, the new medicine from pain management has helped enough that she is not in constant pain. There continues to be a dull pain, but she can sleep for a couple of hours at a time without interuption....which is at least an improvemtent.
Thank you for your prayers.

Hi Andrea,

I'm anxious to hear how things went today for you. I know the baby steps must seem small and slow, but I know they are building up to some big, giant steps. I'm happy that you got to spend the weekend at home, and that the pain is dull. This is a time when it truly is a good thing to be "dull".

I continue to have you in my heart and my prayers.

Love,
Carolyn

Dear Andrea, it has been several weeks since I have posted a comment but I have continued to pray for you often. Your have been very heavy on my mind and after reading the last several weeks of the blog tonight,I understand why!As previously stated: I pray that God turns your pain into a passion for him and your hurt into health. I have no benchmark to understand the depths of what you are going through but I can tell you that you are not going it alone. Many Brothers and Sisters in Christ are taking this journey with you and God, the Master of the universe is holding your hand. Trust in Him!

Your Brother in Christ!
