Getting Better 2-7-06

Andrea had a great weekend and continues to improve. She gets more and more energy everyday and gains more strength on a daily basis. On Friday her friend Krista came over and spend the night with her and they watched movies and chatted all night. Saturday I stayed with her and she was doing so good. On Sunday we went to her friend Perry's house and watched the Superbowl. She has begun to eat more each day and is having a better time keeping the food down. On Monday she didn't have any doctor appointments and continued to relax. Her cough is getting much better and her Calcium level has come back to a normal level. Today she went to MD Anderson for a liver ultrasound and a heart cardiogram. Everything at MD Anderson seems very promising and we are glad to be at one of the best hospitals in the world. Tonight Andrea decided she wanted to go out to eat at an Italian restaurant and she had a great time.

The one thing that is still bothering Andrea is her sight. She continues to see more and more, but it is such a slow process. Please pray for her sight to improve and for her health to continue to improve. She loves all of you and appreciates all of your support. God Bless and good night.

Dearest Andrea, J, Katy and Bob-Wow! Not reading the blog for a few days, and then getting back to it, shows how much improvement has been made. I know it seems slow, but reading what I just read sounds so awesome. Be patient with the eye recovery. is extremely slow. I know you have had all sorts of advice, but I truly believe this helped George's eyes heal to the maximum, and now His retinal specialists gives samples of this natural product...grape seed and bilberry. You may have already been told about these. You can buy them in health food stores, but it's important to get good quality supplements. I'll continue the prayers and praise. Love and hugs all the way around! Penny

I am so glad to get your update. I just know that in the grand scheme of things, everything will be okay. I am so glad you are at MD Anderson. I just feel that it is such a healing place. It sounds that you are healing, so keep it up, and just remember, the sight is in God's hands. It's such a blessing that I can drive to and from work, after all of my side effects. We just need to keep praying to God for a huge improvement in that area.

We love you.

Andrea and J,

Thanks for the update. You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. We are so glad you are getting stronger every day and into a more normal routine (eating out!, Superbowl party!). Dr.'s & nurses that knew you at St. Luke's are so happy you are at home and doing so well, your faith and healing is a true testimony to many of them who now know what the power of prayer and fearless faith are. Bless you guys, we hope to see you soon.

Andrea and family,
We are still praying for you in New Mexico and will continue to--focusing on your eyesight, but I believe this will return to normal as it is clear to all God is healing you--he is so amazing and so are you. You continue to be an inspiration to many! I bet your pooch is happy you are out of the hospital, too!

Andrea, I thought you would enjoy this Psalm. Psalm 1 - 3
I will love You, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised.

Comment : The first words, "I will love thee, O Lord my strength" are the scope and contents of the psalm. Those that truly love God, may triumph in him as their Rock and Refuge, and may with confidence call upon him. Andrea, keep calling on God to find refuge and protection in his love and praise him for your victories.

Your Brother in Christ!
