What a Weekend 1-15-06

Today Andrea got out of bed five or six times to use the bathroom. With my help she made it to the toilet and didn't have to use the bed pan. All this wore her out, but was a huge step that she had to make. All she could talk about today was how she wants to go home after they fix her eyes. She misses her dog Zeus so much and I hope she can be around him soon.

Tomorrow they might take her off of the oxygen and she will be breathing totally on her own. They didn't do any blood tests today so I don't have any numbers for her liver and kidneys. Although she does look a less jaundice today so her liver numbers probably came down. We will see tomorrow since they are planning to draw some blood. Today she continued with the same diet and ate more than yesterday without throwing up all day.

Let's all pray real hard for the eye doctors to come soon and successful repair her eyes so she can see again. Also, for the doctors to release her to go home soon where we can take care of her. Pray hard and God Bless.

J. don't rush things. I know Andrea is anxious to go home but she is where she needs to be.It will take a lot of patience, but just tell her it will be soon. You know her little dog wants to see her. If it were me, they'd have to bring mine to see me...ha.keep up the good work.

Hey J...

Just wanted you to know I've got everything worked out to come this weekend. I'm going to drive down, either Friday or Saturday, and I think I'm just going to stay at a hotel near the hospital so I can come and see you guys. Tell Andrea I'm on my way. I love you guys.

Andrea,

Yea!! yea!! You will be running circles around the bed soon. Fear not, I would be willing to bet after all this time that you are still more physically in shape then me;) I know... my humor needs some help. I miss you and I am so proud of you. Your blog is the first thing that I look at each morning and it gives me such inspiration. I miss you so much and I will try to come down in the next month or two.

Love ya and keep up the progress.

Andrea, I pray for you daily!!! I am so proud of the progress you are making. With the Lords continued blessing maybe you can go home sooner than later. I can only imagine how you must miss your dog. At some point maybe your parents can sneak him into the hospital. :) (He is not very big)
Do not loose faith. God is in control!

Andrea is the most beautiful girl(woman) that I have ever seen, beside my own. She has the constitution of her mother and determination of her father, nothing can beat that. No doubt that what has happened so far is nothing less than miraculous, but I want to say, Way to Go Andrea!!
Go Andrea!! I love you, Uncle Don
