Andrea is doing well 1-9-06

Today and Yesterday were great days for Andrea. She continues to improve and they are even talking about moving her to the Progressive Care Unit (maybe 2-3 days). This would be a huge step for Andrea, so let's all pray for her continued improve over the next few days. Her breathing is getting so much better. Yesterday she was breathing on her own with an oxygen mask for 3 hours (40% O2). Then today she breathed on her own all day (30% O2). She also sat in the recliner today for an hour while she was breathing on her own. Yesterday she also said that she see to some degree, but today that vision wasn't there. That is still good though and hopefully means her eyes are going to clear up over time. No dialysis today but I figure they will need to tomorrow (she hasn't received dialysis in 3 days). Her liver numbers plateaued today so lets pray that they start coming down tomorrow. Today her temp was down and when I left the hospital her temp was 98.9. Her platelet count was 144 this morning.

I will post the pics people sent tomorrow. Thanks for all the support and keep the prayers coming. They are surely working. Andrea wants everyone to know that she loves everyone of you. Talk to everyone tomorrow.

Dear J. and Andrea, I am so proud of both of you. Stay strong and we will continue to pray. Maybe I can get Uncle Dan off of the hill to visit soon..He's shopping for a new horse right now and he thinks he may have found the one. We'll know soon. Tell Andrea for us that we feel like we know her well, we talk about her all the time, and that is a good thing. ha. If you need anything from Mississippi let me know and I send it your way. Love ya

J and Andrea:
Great News! Praise our LORD! I will pray specifically for your liver enzymes today. I would love to see you setting in that recliner. J, I know you must be having a tough time holding this girl back now!

Dear J. Martin, I was told about Andrea's AML condition several weeks ago. Although I do not know her personally I pray for her daily! My pray is that God will heal her and that she will give him all the glory. I have a friend that has been healed from the same afflection. It was a miracle preformed by our Father. I believe he will do the same for Andrea. I have a daughter the same age as Andrea I can only imagine the burden on her parents. I will also pray that they have a peice that passes all understanding.

I actually heard about this website earlier on, I just did not know what to say. After hearing of her improvements, I am even more convinced of the power of prayer. Please let Andrea know that an ol' friend thinks and prays for her recovery consistently. I am so grateful to hear of this fantastic road ahead for Andrea and those all around her. Many thanks and more prayers, Beth Keller

You don't know me, but a friend of a friend sent me your blog to pray for you. My grandma recently got out of St. Lukes - she also has AML. You and her have one of the same doctors. Dr. Balakrishna (I know thats not how you spell that) had been telling us about you while we were in the hospital. She said she told you that another patients family was praying for you, that's my family.

I just wanted you to know that we are praying for you alot, and my grandma talks about you almost everday. I try to read your blog often so I can update her. She is so happy that you are doing better, and prays that your pain and illness continue to decrease. I'm so glad to hear your platelets are up, and I know the Lord will continue to heal you. I wish you the best.
