Looks like tomorrow

The way things looked today, Andrea will be coming home tomorrow. She is so excited and I doubt she will sleep tonight. All she could talk about today was how she was coming home tomorrow. She said that when see wakes up at 5AM she will be putting her civilian clothes on and unhooking any monitors still stuck to her. She is determined to leave the hospital tomorrow. Everything is set up and I will be going to the hospital tomorrow prepared to take her home.

Today she removed the patch on her right eye and was able to see the outline of everyone in the room and movement. I also turned off the lights and she was able to see the colors on the TV. This is a very good sign considering the damage that was done to her eye. The eye still has a long road of healing, but this is definitely very encouraging to her. When she saw that today her spirits were lifted immediately and she realized for the first time that that she would gain some vision. We are so excited for her.

The rest of the day went fine and I am about to hit the sack. I will wake up to hopefully make my trip to St. Lukes and bring my baby home. We still have a tough long road ahead, but this is such a huge step. When I look back and remember the doctors telling us she had hours to live, I just stop and thank God for every miracle that has occurred. Behind all of this he was the "Great Physician." We couldn't have done this without him and we will continue to need him. If there is one thing I have learned to this point it is that nothing is impossible with God. Keep the prayers coming and we will talk to you soon from the comfort of my parents home. God Bless.

What an awesome testimony the two of you have. All praises to our God.
There is a web site you may want to check out. It is called makinghealthychoices.com. It is a Christian doctor that has all natural products. One of them is called Optimax. You can read about it on the web.
May God continue to bless you and your families.

Jay ,
I have used Dr. Warren Cross for 25 years. He is tops in ophthalmology field. They just relocated to a new office on the west service road of the 610 loop just south of 59. The phone number is 713-666-4224. Set the appointment with Dr. Cross as he has several Doctors in the office. He is a great eye doctor and will assist Andrea to the best of his knowledge or direct you in the right direction. Good luck and God Bless you and Andrea for the great team you make.

Andrea,

Yahoo! You did it, you hung in there and worked so hard for this moment. There are MANY more great moments ahead of you. Enjoy this one and bask in the love of your loved ones around you. I will miss seeing your progress for myself at the hospital but I know that this change of scenery will do wonders. Congratulations on this milestone. You continue to be in my every prayer!

Here is the song that's been on my lips for you this whole time.

~He is able,
more than able,
to handle anything that comes my way~ He is able, more than able, to do much more than I can ever dream~ He is able, more than able to handle what concerns me today.

Thank God for what he HAS done and still CAN do for you!

Love you guys,

Dear Lutheringers: We continue to pray for Andrea. We know the race is still in progress and will be for some time. Continue the race. Sometimes it may be endless, perhaps you may not be able to see the finish line. It is not endless, and you will soon see the finish line. Have faith, hope, strength, courage, but above all, demonstrate love. With love from the Pfeiffer Pfamily... Chris Pfeiffer

There are no words...
Fortunately, God doesn't need words to hear the cries of our hearts.
Andrea and Jay (Moms and Dads, too) we are so thankful for this most recent victory. We celebrate not only your healing, but also your love for God and for each other.
